Cord of Three Counseling Services will have its 16th Annual Fore the Family Golf Tournament at Lakeview Golf Course in Blackshear Saturday, September 16.
Fore the Family is a four-man scramble golf tournament held at Lakeview Golf Course, 510 Golf Course Rd, Blackshear. The schedule includes breakfast at 7:30 a.m., a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. and lunch and awards at 12:30 p.m.
Sponsors and participants will take to the fairways to invest in families of our community.
Since 2007, the Fore the Family Golf Tournament has made a significant impact in supporting families in our communities. The public is welcome to join supporters and partners who gather for a day of golf and fellowship.
The Cord of Three 2023 Fore the Family Golf Tournament provides a way to help families, youth and individuals who are living with brokenness receive the emotional and spiritual help they need. All proceeds from this tournament are used to help Cord of Three in its mission of strengthening families.
The families served at Cord of Three come to us for many different reasons. Regardless of why they come, Cord of Three helps them navigate through whatever spiritual and emotional concerns they may be facing. The group relies on the commitment and investment of partners—through time and finances—to change lives.
One of the golfers from last year’s tournament reported “This is just one way that I can give back for what Cord of Three has done for me and my family. Y’all run one of the smoothest golf tournaments and we always have lots of fun.
“Cord of Three’s annual theme is focusing on being, ‘More Than Conquerors’,” said Clay Gill, Cord of Three Executive Director, “We are victorious Christians because of who Jesus is and what He has accomplished for us. For those who are in Christ, there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1). Come join us this year as we kick off our new annual theme and enjoy a day of golf, good weather, and great fellowship with other golfers.”
