The ceremony celebrated the students’ commitment to excellence and dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.

This new group of homeschool inductees, chosen for their academic achievements and community involvement, exemplify the National Beta Club’s motto: “Let Us Lead by Serving Others.” These students will participate in service projects, leadership workshops, and other initiatives designed to foster personal growth and a lifelong commitment to serving others. They will also will have opportunities to participate in state and national conventions, compete in academic and talent competitions and spearhead service projects that will benefit communities across South Georgia and beyond.

“Induction into the National Beta Club is a significant honor that reflects these students’ hard work and dedication to serving their community,” said SGHA Beta sponsor Bonnie Saunders. “Their leadership will inspire others and make a lasting impact on those they serve.”

The inaugural induction ceremony, held at Mocha on Main in Hazlehurst, was attended by family members and community leaders to welcome the new club and inductees with enthusiasm and encouragement.

South Georgia Homeschool Association Beta Club, chartered on September 23, 2024, includes all three divisions; Elementary Beta for grades 4-5, Junior Beta for grade 6–8 and Senior Beta for grades 9–12.

National Beta CEO, Bobby Hart extended his congratulations to this new National Beta Club and its inductees, stating, “The skills and opportunities that come from National Beta membership impact students not only during their time in school, but as they move forward in life. We are proud of these new inductees and are excited to see how they grow as leaders and positively impact the world.”
