Memorial Satilla Health recently announced their partnership with Called to Care Ware County in their mission to provide support services for fostering and adopting families in area. The hospital’s recent donation of $10,000 will further Called to Care’s efforts to supply beds, toiletries, school supplies and other needed resources for their clients.
“As the CEO of this hospital, I firmly believe our commitment to the community extends far beyond our walls. By partnering with Called to Care, we're not just addressing immediate needs. We're investing in the longterm health and well-being of our society,' said Dale Neely, CEO.
“We are so thankful for the partnership of Memorial Satilla Health through this grant that will provide new beds and bedding for local, vulnerable children in foster care. Their support will help to improve the lives of so many children and families,” said Director Karin Strickland, Called to Care Ware County.
Memorial Satilla Health sees the donation as consistent with being a mission-driven, community-based health system. “Our tradition of care began more than 60 years ago and continues today with more than 600 employees, physicians and volunteers. The hospital serves as regional referral center for more than 185,000 residents across nine counties in Southeast Georgia,” said an official press statement from Memorial Satilla. “Key services include a very busy ER where we treat more than 47,000 emergencies each year; our Heart, Cancer, Surgery, Rehabilitation, Sleep and Birthing Centers with specialists trained specifically for these needs; and an extensive Mental Health program for senior adults and those suffering with memory loss.”
