BLACKSHEAR — Sharon Renee Hiott, 50, of Blackshear, died Monday evening, January 20, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health after an extended illness.

Ms. Hiott was born in Waycross to the late Curtis Marvin Hiott and Nellie Beecher Hiott. She lived here all of her life. Ms. Hiott was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith.

Along with her parents, she also was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Felix; and a brother, Marvin Hiott.

Survivors include three daughters, Victoria Freeman (husband Garret) of Dawson, Ga., Beth Miller (husband Briley) of Hazlehurst and Mardi Felix (husband Carlos) of Hazelhurst; special nieces, Taylor Strickland (Shane) of Valdosta and Lexi Girtman of Hazlehurst; eight grandchildren, Paxtan, Ella, Remi, Charlie, Madilyn, Josie-Kate, Briar and Brooks; three sisters, Michelle Girtman (husband John) of Hazlehurst, Linda Sue Hiott of Waycross and Angel Rowell (husband Dean) of Hickox; three brothers, Danny Beecher of Waycross, Danny Hiott of Waycross, and Jeffrey Hiott of Waycross; significant other, Tim Thomas of Blackshear; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service was held Saturday, January 25 at New Prospect Community Church in Manor. Burial followed in New Prospect Cemetery.
