AUGUSTA — Mrs. Willie Pearl Rountree Lee passed away after an extended illness Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Wellstar MCG Medical Center in Augusta.
Mrs. Lee was the daughter of the late Tony and Ira Lee Rountree. She was born in Waycross. Mrs. Lee was a 1974 graduate of Brantley County High School.
She lived most of her life in Augusta.
Mrs. Lee leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Major Lee of Augusta; two daughters, Tiffany Lee and LaToya Lee Vaughner of Augusta; one son, Benjamin (DeLavallade) Lee of Birmingham, Ala.; four grandchildren, Brooke Lee and Brandy Lee, both of Birmingham, Ala., James “Tre” Vaughner and Aiden Archer of Augusta; one brother, Isaac (Katie) Rountree of Nahunta; two sisters, Bessie (Daniel) Cohen of Waynesville and Irene Rountree of Nahunta; a sister-in-law, Eloise Roundtree of Darien; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service was held Monday, January 27, 2025 at Gospel Cathedral in Augusta.
Interment followed at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Williams Funeral Home of Hephzibah, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
