HOBOKEN — Samuel “Sammy” Eugene Floyd, 62 of Hoboken, passed away Sunday evening, January 19, 2025, at Memorial Health in Savannah after a brief illness.

Floyd was born May 9, 1962 in Waycross to the late Talmadge and Mary Ruth Hickox Floyd and lived here all his life.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; three children, Amy Corbett (husband David) of Blackshear, Sara Myrick (husband Jackie) of Blackshear and Gracie of Hoboken; six grandchildren, Blake Bishop (wife McKenzy) of Hortense, Sondra Myrick (Noah) of Atkinson, Mattie Myrick of Blackshear, Brantley Willis of Blackshear, Emma Myrick of Blackshear and Bryce Willis of Blackshear; two great-grandchildren, Bella Crews of Atkinson and Kambree Bishop of Hortense; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony Floyd (Susan) of Hoboken and Ricky Floyd (Vickie) of Hoboken; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon, February 2, 2025, at 2 p.m., at Hoboken Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m., Sunday at Hoboken Baptist Church.

Thomas Williams will be officiating the service.
