David Jacobs (top photo, seated at table; middle photo with cake) of the Hickox/Caney Bay area was thrown a surprise 80th birthday party Saturday, January 25 at the new location of Honey Buns in Nahunta. Cindy Altman (bottom photo) hosted the party, which had been kept a secret by Jacobs’ family and friends until he arrived at the event. Mrs. Altman has relocated her business from Waycross to the north end of Nahunta. She said plans are to be open by Sunday, February 2.
