BLACKSHEAR — Mrs. Dorothy Lee Sapp Dunbar, 102, of Blackshear, passed

away early Monday afternoon, January 13, 2025 at her residence.
Born in Mershon to Leon Otis and Meta Arley Davis Sapp, Mrs. Dubar had lived in Waycross until she was 98 moving to Blackshear to live with her daughter.
Mrs. Dunbar was the widow of the late Leon Earl Dunbar. She had been a member of Grace Episcopal Church since 1947. Mrs. Dunbar was a homemaker, and enjoyed sewing, making quilts, and knitting for her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Linton “Joe Pete” Boatright.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sandra Boatright Henderson (Cleve) of Blackshear and Cindi Sattler (Jim) of St. Marys; two grandsons, Lin Boatright (Merry Gayle) and Lee Boatright (Tara) all of Blackshear; four great granddaughters, Laura Kate Dixon (Blake), Davis Callahan (Mac), Natalee Boatright (Ethan Martin, fiancé) and Anna Lisa Sturdivant (Chandler); five great-great grandchildren, Rylin, Ridge, and Ellie Blake Dixon, Charlotte Sturdivant and Mary Mac Callahan; a niece, Jan Damouni (Maurice); nephew, D.L. “Buddy” Williford (Carol); and several other relatives and friends.
Memorialization will be by cremation. Mrs. Dunbar will be buried at Oakland Cemetery with her family having a private ceremony.
