Mrs. Rainey was born in Alma to the late James Lane and Elvera Turner Dean. For many years she was emp loyed with Mem orial Satilla Health in Waycross as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rainey was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Rainey; her first husband, Dennis O’Berry; a brother, Jimmy Lane; and her stepfather, Ray Dean.
She is survived by a son, Dennis O’Berry (Georgette) of Waycross; two daughters, Mary Anne Turner (Eddie) of Waycross and Jessica Stoll (Ian) of Groton, Conn.; seven grandchildren, Courtney (Matthew), Liz (Jacob), Zach (Mariana), Gabe, Zoey, Michael and Seabern Earl; six great grandchildren, Wyatt, Paisley, Waylon, M.J., Margo and Jethro; and a brother, Ricky Lane.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 23 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family will begin receiving friends at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
