D-3 community meeting tonight

Waycross District 3 Commissioner Katrena Felder will hold a community meeting at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, January 22) at Okefenokee Lions Club, 7111 Columbus Street.

Representatives from Ethan Jackson Investments, LLC & True North Way, LLC will guest speakers.

A proposed new housing complex for the district will be discussed with attendees having an opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts.

Four from area graduate at ABAC TIFTON — Two students from Waycross, one from Manor and one from Mershon were among 244 Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College graduates at the end of the 2024 Fall semester.

Stephanie Ayala, of Waycross received an Associate of Science in Nursing while Cassie Thomas of Waycross earned an Associate of Science with Merit.

Paulina O’Berry of Manor earned an Associate of Science in Nursing. Alex Christopher Hart received a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Library trustees to meet Jan. 23 The Waycross-Ware County Public Library Board of Trustees will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday, January 23 at the 401 Lee Avenue.
