Harris
Edna Mae Harris, 85, of Nahunta, passed away early Friday morning, January 17, 2025, at her residence.
Born in Nahunta, October 12, 1939, she had lived in Brantley County all her life. She was a homemaker and was also a farmer, having worked on the family farm since she was a child. She was a hardworking woman who was good at everything she did. She loved to crochet and be outdoors. She also loved to cook and cherished visits from her friends and family.
She was the daughter of the late James Samuel “Jim” and Mary Hickox Harris. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dewey Edward Harris and by a special cousin and caregiver, Terry “Bimbo” Harris.
Survivors include several cousins including Tamara Harris, Nahunta; Ashleigh Harris McIntosh (Jimmy), Alma, Austin Harris (Brittany), Nahunta; young cousins she considered her grandchildren, Tristin Harris, Kade Graham, Braylin Harris and Addie McIntosh and several other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, from the Rob Lewis Cemetery in Brantley County.
