The South Georgia Daylily Society will kick off 2025 year with their meeting Tuesday, January 28. The meeting will be held at First Baptist Church in Blackshear and will begin with dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Wayne Quinn of Hazlehurst. Quinn grows beautiful daylilies and will share information with the club members on preparing our flower beds for spring.
The new officers of the Daylily Society will begin their terms at the January meeting. The officers are Bob Kimbrell, President; Rhonda Mullis, Vice President; Frances Simmons, Recording Secretary; Nancy Perry, Corresponding Secretary and Jennifer Tanner, Treasurer.
President Bob Kimbrell and the Daylily members invite anyone interested in gardening to attend the meeting to share dinner with us and hear the speaker. There is a special guest speaker each month.
