The Cora Bailey and Abraham Thompson Memorial Scholarships were presented at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. program Saturday evening at Scott Chapel United Methodist Church. Bailey and Thompson were active members of the Dream Keepers. Joe Drew (above left) Noelle Ford (top middle) and Jazmyne Scott (above right) were all presented with scholarships. MLK Dream Keepers Isaac Moses and Juanita Davis made the presentations. The scholarships are awarded to deserving Pierce County students who are continuing their post-secondary education. Donations may be made via CashApp to $912DreamKeepers or by check made out to the Dr. MLK Dream Keepers. Checks can be mailed to 822 Porter Street, Blackshear. Donations are tax deductible.
