WAYCROSS — Mrs. Mary Frances Strickland, 80, died Tuesday night , January 7, 2025, at her residence after an extended illness.

She was born June 23, 1944 in Waycross to the late Killa brew Pittman and Lorene O’Quinn Pittman. A lifelong resident of Wayc ross, Mrs. Strickland attended Waycross Schools, and she was baptized at Hebardville Baptist Church. She was an avid bowler who enjoyed painting and listening to Elvis. Her “No. 1” love was her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. “Strick” Strickland; son, Terry Kevin “Bubba” Strickland; and siblings, Betty Denton, Ronnie Pittman, and Bobby Pittman.

Survivors include her children, Sharon Clark, Tina Barnett (Hal), Jerry Strickland (David Beck) and Mary King (David) all of Waycross; grandchildren, Shannon Clark, Stacey Clark, Daryl Clark, Tanya Bowen, Harley Brown, Blake Proulx, John Hal Barnett, Ronald Lee Strickland, Charles King, and Emily King; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, James Pittman, Wanda Stapleton (Junior), Linda Davis (Freddie), Donnie Pittman, Sandra Arnold, and Karen Clark; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorialization is by cremation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
