PCMS swim team competes in Douglas

The Pierce County Middle School (PCMS) swim team traveled to Douglas Friday, December 2.

The men finished fourth on the day and the women came in fifth.

The men kicked off the day with a fourth place finish in the 200 yard medley relay of Cooper Davis, Carter Johns, Sam Chesser and Donald Moser with a time of 2:55.29.

The 200 yard freestyle relay of Davis, Kane Murphy, Donald Moser and Chesser came in fifth (2:23.34).

Other top finishes for the men include Davis, who placed sixth in his first ever 100 yard backstroke (1:46.78) and Chesser who placed second in the 100 yard breastroke, setting a new personal best of 1:25.72.

The women were led by Teagan Dixon with a fourth place finish in the 200 yard freestyle (2:40.05) and a first place finish in the 100 yard backstroke (1:19.89).

All PCMS swimmers saw drastic drops in time. Khloe Hewatt cut seven seconds off of her 50 freestyle and Carter Johns cut five seconds off of his.

The swimmers will be back in action this Friday at the Waycross YMCA.
