NAHUNTA – Larry Nolan O’Neal, 68 of Nahunta, passed away Thursday morning, January 2 2025 at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Waycross, O’Neal’s parents were Robert Nolan O’Neal and Jeanette Johns O’Neal. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Julia Evelyn Cox O’Neal; and several siblings.
O’Neal worked for the Brantley County Road Dept as a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Norman O’Neal (Marissa) of Nahunta; a daughter and son-in-law, Renee Griner (Jamie) of Nahunta; three grandchildren, Jax Griner, A.J. Griner and Nathan Griner; a brother, Terry O’Neal of Hortense; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet Nichols (Billy) of Trudie; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A graveside service was held Monday, January 6, 2025 at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Allen and Rev. Jason Marden officiating.
Pallbearers were Norman O’Neal, Jamie Griner, Edward Lynn, Billy Nichols, Brandon Block, David Garrett and Robert Blanchette, Sr.
Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
