Patterson community leader John Phillips passed away early Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, at his residence. He was 54.
Phillips was a dedicated volunteer to his adopted hometown and served with the Patterson Volunteer Fire Department and and as a volunteer coach for the old Patterson Recreation Department.
A native of Chelsea, MA, Phillips had lived in Pennsylvania before moving to Patterson in 2012.
He was a security officer for GATX in Waycross and was a Christian.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
