Owens
Gail Lavonne Owens, 72, of Patterson, passed away Sunday evening, December 29, 2024, at Harborview – Pierce County Nursing Home.
Born in Florence, SC June 8, 1952, she lived in Jacksonville, FL prior to moving to Pierce County in 1984. She was a graduate of the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine, FL. She was a great seamstress in her younger days and had also enjoyed quilting. She loved being with her family and enjoyed taking care of her nieces and nephews when they were young. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was the daughter of the late Baitie Tillman and Josie Evangeline Howard Owens. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Owens Sr.
Survivors include her two brothers and sisterin- law, Linwood and Patricia Owens, Patterson and Stacy Owens, Newalla, OK and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at noon Thursday, January 2, 2025, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitch Hall officiating.
Interment followed in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
