The 2025 Emancipation Proclamation program will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, January 1) at Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 Pittman Street.
Sponsored by Dr. Carman Jackson and the women of the Waycross Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the program features Ware County High School sophomore Jasmine Golden as speaker.
The daughter of Joseph Sr. and Tiffany Golden is a member of the Ware County High Golden Gator Band Dance Line and serves as a Sunday School secretary, sings with the Majestic Voices Choir, and serves on the Greeters Ministry at Greater St. Paul.
The Rev. Darren Jackson is Greater St. Paul pastor.
