Jones
WAYCROSS — Mr. Ronald Walter Jones, 77, died Wednesday morning, December 18, 2024, at Memorial Satilla Health after an extended illness.
Jones was born October 13, 1947, in Tallahassee, Fla., to the late Woodrow W. Jones and Ola Stephens Jones. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jones retired from Lance Inc. as a sales representative.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy and Donnie Jones; and “adopted” children, Travis Hood and Hadleigh Lee.
Survivors include his sister, Beverly Jones Brock of Indiana; nephews, Sam Jones (wife Samantha) and Justin Brock; niece, Amanda Wayne (Greg); great nieces and nephews, Gavin Wayne, London, Cullen and Ariel Jones; best friend, Lionell Bennett; and “adopted” children, Chari Lee (T.G.), Tad Hood (Cindy) and Terrel Hood (Morgan).
A funeral service was held Saturday, December 21 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Little Utah Cemetery in Axson.
