A Pierce County man has been charged with two counts of bestiality, in the first case of its kind locally in recent memory.
Andrew John Voight, 34, was arrested Wednesday, December 11, and charged with felony - two counts of bestiality; sexual exploitation of children (child pornography), possession of methamphetamine, possession of firearm or knife during commission to commit certain crimes, willful obstruction of law enforcement officer by use of threats or violence, misdemeanor - possession and use of drug related objects, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, giving false information or false name and loitering.
According to the incident report, Voight had allegedly engaged in sexual relations with a dog and was also found to be in possession of pornographic images featuring children.
Sheriff's Deputies Hunter Griffin and Blaine Mercer responded to the original call. At initial contact, Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Unit Investigator Greg Nettles, Investigator Wayne Mercer, and Lieutenant Jacob Winters also responded.
The investigation led to Voight’s arrest.
Voight is being held in the Pierce County Jail.
