Shirley Rachel Cason Douberly, 70, of Blackshear, passed away late Thursday evening, December 19, 2024, at Mem orial Satilla Health in Waycross.

Born in Waycross March 31, 1954, she lived in Pierce County all her life. She was a former cook for Jerry J’s Restaurant and was a member of Youmans Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at the Harborview-Pierce County Nursing Home and watching NASCAR. She loved being with family and friends, especially cooking for them, and listening to George Strait.

She was a daughter of the late Raymond Monroe and Betty Ray Lee Cason. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wylley Douberly; a sister, Betty Ann Tucker; a brother, Larry Cason and a cousin, Carmon Cannon.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Christine “Chris” and Jay Turner, Blackshear; her sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Mitchell Lovell, Sylvester; her brother, Raymond Dewitt Cason, Blackshear; twin grandchildren, Tristan Turner and Taylor Turner; niece and nephews, Holly (Drew) Ellis, Tifton, and Brad Lovell and Brandon Lovell, both of Sylvester; a special cousin, Rusty Bennett of Waycross; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, from the Youmans Chapel Baptist Church.

Interment followed in Rehobeth Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Jay Turner, Tristan Turner, Brad Lovell, Brandon Lovell, Larry Turner and Jerry Carver.
