Online chatter seems to agree this year’s Christmas parade in Blackshear was better than ever. The theme of the 2024 parade was “Songs of the Season” with each float based around a popular Christmas tune.
There were many creative and inspired entries into the parade, but there could only be three winners. Two were based on the Dr. Seuss-authored classic “ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” and one drew upon Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite.
This year’s winners and the businesses that sponsored them were as follows: First Place - Peaceful Spa with “Where Are You Christmas?” Second Place - Center Stage Studio with “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy”. Third Place - Composite Research Inc. with “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch”.
