Bicentennial celebration draws huge crowd

Jean Spence, Helen Tomlin and Marla Howell are ready to kick off the Saturday, September 14 Bicentennial festivities at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds.

Deborah Owen spoke with Senator Raphael Warnock about her daughter Katelyn “Kay” Dewberry’s murder in Blackshear four years ago. She and her family are creating The Dew Better Foundation to help victims of gun violence.

Diane Brown, Dr. William Clark, Carla Garrett Cornett and Bob Brown represented the Okefenokee Heritage Center in the display/vendor and area.
