The school was burglarized during the early-morning hours. In addition to the damage at the initial entry point, a total of seven interior doors’ windows also were reportedly broken in the burglary.

Several wrapped Christmas presents for the children were opened and their contents stolen.

Multiple Christmas cards also were opened and the items inside were stolen. A Coach-brand bag, a guitar, as well as other items of value were taken.

“Crimes of this type are truly damaging at any time of year, but they are especially hurtful during the Christmas season,” Sheriff Carl James said. “Several of my detectives have called the suspect’s behavior in this case as ‘grinch-like’ in nature, and I can’t disagree.”
