Community encouraged to Adopt-A-Senior for Christmas

The Pierce County Senior Center is inviting members of the community to “Adopt-A-Senior” for Christmas once again this holiday season.

Pierce County seniors who are served by the Senior Center are given an opportunity each year to participate in the Adopt-A-Senior Christmas program. Participating seniors complete a short form with some basic information and a wish list of items they would like to receive for Christmas. This information is placed in envelopes on the Christmas tree outside of the Senior Center.

Anyone who is interested in adopting a senior for Christmas can stop by the Senior Center to pick a sealed envelope from the tree from now through December 2 and return their gift no later than December 9. Taking part in the program is a simple way to show our seniors that they are cared for – and it means so much to them!

Please contact Lynn Platt, Senior Center Coordinator, at 912-449-0148 with any questions.
