NAHUNTA – Marjorie Janice Davis Prescott, 89 of Nahunta, passed away early Sunday morning, December 15, 2024 at Bayview Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Born October 23, 1935 in Brunswick, Mrs. Prescott’s parents were Rev. Lloyd H. Davis and Mandy Alene Knight Davis. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Norman Alton Prescott; two sons, Terry Prescott and Joey Prescott; a son-in-law, Donnie Aspinwall; six brothers; and four sisters.
Mrs. Prescott was a homemaker who was known as a prayer warrior with a straight line to Heaven. She loved family gatherings, watching Jimmy Swaggart, reading her Bible, coloring and doing word searches.
Her main concern was for everyone to love and except Jesus in their life and to love one another. She was a true example of loving like Jesus and her favorite verse is Isaiah 40:31, “ But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength,

They shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint.”
Survivors include her daughter, Norma Jean Aspinwall of Nahunta; eight grandchildren, Keith, Chris, Brandy, Krystal, Mandy, Macy, Seth and Jordan; 17 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and also several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday evening (December 17, 2024) from 6 p.m.–8 p.m. at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held today (Wednesday, December 18, 2024) at 2 p.m., at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff O’Neal and Rev. Dan Harris officiating.
Burial will follow in Bachlott Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Chasteen, Tony Chasteen, Dennis Mosley, Alton Mosley, Bennie Cox and Gerald Mosley. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
