Last weekend, I set up for the Nahunta Christmas Festival. It was a very chilly, icy morning when I left my house.
I took my books and Satilla River calendars (my Okefenokee Swamp calend ars had not arrived yet). It was a good day once the sun came out and knocked down some of the cold.
There was a nice crowd, and I got to meet and talk with a lot of people during the event. When the parade started, I headed over and took some pictures of the different floats and groups that were partici-pating in it.
I have not missed many of these in the past 25 years. I do believe this may have been one of the largest ones we have had in Nahunta.
I don't know how much candy was thrown out, but I do know that it was quite a bit. It was fun watching so many kids gathering up all they could get.
I actually sold out of Satilla River calendars and had to take names for people who wanted at least one as soon as I could get some more ordered on Monday (December 9).
