Gators win at Vidalia, Glynn Acad.

Ware County notched a pair of road wins to remain perfect in five games against Georgia opponents.

The Gators (5-2) ended a mini two-game slide suffered during a Thanksgiving tournament in Orlando, Fla., with a 6960 victory Tuesday, December 3 at Vidalia.

Ware County followed Friday night with a 77-43 whipping of Glynn Academy in Brunswick.

The Gators have a slate of three games this week. They played Tuesday, December 10 at Atkinson County followed by a Friday, December 13 road trip to face Valdosta. Glynn Academy visits Saturday, December 14 for a 7:30 p.m. tip.

Gators....................69 Vidalia...................60 VIDALIA — Ware County rode a hot shooting night from beyond the arc hitting 12 threes to beat the host Indians.

Jarvis Wright led a trio of Gators in double figures with 26 points (17 in final quarter) connecting on five long-range bombs. Shaun McClam scored all 18 points on six threepointers. Dedric Jackson added 14 points.

Vidalia’s J. Coleman copped game-high scoring honors scoring 24 of his game-high 32 points after intermission including 17 points in the final period. He connected on six treys.

The Indians grabbed a 15-12 first quarter lead on Ware County. The Gators responded with a 16-11 scoring advantage in the second stanza to take a 28-26 lead into the break.

Vidalia cut the lead in half by the end of the third period clipping the Gators 15-14 to trail 42-41. With Wright scoring 17 points and hitting four threes, Ware County closed the game outpointing the Indians 27-19. Coleman scored 17 of the Indians’ 19 points.

Three other players scored for the Gators. Tezhan Bolds (trey) and Sibari Williams netted five points and four points respectively. Darius Ward connected for two points.

Gators.........................................77 Glynn Academy ..........................43 BRUNSWICK — The Gators scored 20+ points in each of the first three periods en route to the easy victory over Glynn Academy.

Ware County jetted out to a 20-13 lead in the opening eight minutes. The Gators added 10 points to their margin outscoring Glynn Academy 22-12 in the second quarter to take a 42-25 lead to the locker room.

The visitors continued to build on their margin using a 21-13 scoring advantage in the third period to open up a 63-38 lead. Ware County outpointed the Red Terrors 14-5 to close out the game.

Wright, Bolds and Ward led the balanced scoring attack reaching double figures. Wright (trey) finished with 18 points, Bolds (three) added 15 with Ward bagging 12 points.

Williams and Jackson were next with eight points apiece. Elan Jones chipped in seven points while Tayshaun Franklin and McClam bagged five points and four points respectively.

Jermaine Mack led Glynn Academy with 13 points. Ahmad McIntosh followed with 10 points.
