Mack and Mandy Pitts of Blackshear are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Makayla Pitts of Blackshear to Austin Jernigan of Blackshear. Jernigan is the son of Brandon and Angela Jernigan of Blackshear.
The bride–elect’s grandparents are Rickey and Angela Pitts of Waycross, Kathleen Pitts of Waycross and the late Ken Brady.
The bride-elect is a 2021 graduate of Pierce County High School. She is currently attending Western Governors University and will graduate with a degree in marketing. She is currently working as a marketing assistant with South + East Properties.
The groom-elect’s grandparents are Terry and Carolyn James of Waycross and Bob and Jackie Jernigan of Patterson.
The groom-elect is a 2021 graduate of Pierce County High School. He graduated from South Georgia State College in 2024 with a degree in elementary education. He is currently employed by Pierce Co Board of Education as a 4th grade math teacher at Patterson Elementary School and coaches football for the PCHS Bears.
The wedding will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Blackshear.
