Two Pierce County men were arrested on drug, firearm and theft charges Friday, November 22.
Byron Wesley Bowens, 57, was arrested and charged with felony - possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute; possession of cocaine/crack cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,000 ft of housing project; possession of cocaine/crack cocaine within 1,000 ft of housing project; possession of a scheduled IV controlled substance; possession of firearm/knife during commission of a crime; theft by receiving stolen property (destructive device, explosive or firearm); five counts of possession of firearm by convicted felon and misdemeanor - possession of drug related objects.
Gregory Scott Howard, 56, was arrested and charged with felony - manufacturing, distributing, dispensing or possession of controlled substance or marijuana near park of housing projects; possession, purchase, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana; possession of firearm/knife during commission of a crime; receiving stolen property (destructive device, explosive or firearm) and misdemeanor - possession of drug related objects.
Bowens and Howard were arrested after a search warrant was executed at a residence in Pierce County.
Pierce County Sheriff's Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Unit Investigator Wayne Mercer, Investigator Greg Nettles, K-9 Sergeant Michael James, Lieutenant Donald Shuman and Deputies Blaine Mercer, Hunter Griffin, Landry Lloyd, Jacob Holmes, Landon Ryals and Bryce Edwards conducted the investigation and arrests.
• Perry Leorenzero Cornelious, 27, was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 27 and charged with felony - possession of firearms by a convicted felon.
Deputy Landon Ryals was requested by Georgia State Patrol (GSP) to assist in traffic stop. The traffic stop led to Cornelious’s arrest.
• Richard Carl Williams, 43, was arrested Sunday, Dec. 1 and charged with felony - aggravated assault/family violence.
Deputy Hunter Griffin responded to a residence and the incident resulted in Williams arrest.
• Wayne Angelo Brown, 33, was arrested Sunday, Dec. 1 and charged with manufacture or purchase of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Scheduled I controlled substance and possession of drug related objects.
ACE Unit Investigator Wayne Mercer, Deputy Jacob Holmes and Deputy Travis Courson were requested by Georgia State Patrol to assist in a traffic stop in Pierce County resulting in the arrest of Brown.
