PCMS grapplers sweep away Wayne Middle, Brantley Middle

BEARVILLE — Pierce County Middle School’s wrestling program remained undefeated after knocking off visiting Wayne County Middle School and Brantley County Middle School.

The Bears downed the Yellow Jackets 80-17 in the Tuesday, December 3 opening home match. PCMS followed with a 79-16 victory over the Herons.

Bears.........................................80 Wayne Middle ............................17 PCMS recorded 12 pins against the Yellow Jackets and 17 victories overall.

Notching pins were Remington Altman (85 lbs.), Nathan McFarland (90), William Shreves (95), Robi Milsom (100), James Still (138), Simon McEuen (152), Bentley Taylor (160), Levi Oglesby (160), Bristol Dixon (170), Aryiannah Henderson (182), Ja’Shun Faison (195), and Preston Jewel (285).

Jayden Altman (120) won by major decision, Josie Insalaco (126) and Shevy Sapp (132) each won by technical fall, while Uriah Hendrix (145) and Lee Thornton (220) won decisions.

Caitlyn Hinnat (106) lost by technical fall and Kathleen Abreau (113) lost by pin. Gunner Sikes (80) and Dillan Terry (182) lost via decisions.

Bears ...........................................79 Brantley Middle...........................16 The Bears posted 10 pin wins, eight technical fall wins and two more via decision in beating Brantley Middle.

Recording pins were Nathan McFarland (90), William Shreves (95), Robi Milsom (100), Jayden Altman (120), Connor Durrance (120), Lydia O’Berry (132), James Still (138), Simon McEuen (152), Dillan Terry (182) and Houston Davis (240).

Winning by technical fall were Gunner Sikes (80), Remington Altman (85), Sasha Eason (85), Caitlyn Hinnat (106), Josie Insalaco (126), Uriah Hendrix (145), Layne Jennings (152) and Levi Oglesby (160).

Shevy Sapp (132) Reb Dixon (220) posted win via decision.

Falling via pin were Kathleen Abreau (113), Greyson Dickens (126), Fisher Strickland (145) and Bristol Dixon (170).

Amanda Morris (80) lost by decision with Bentley Taylor (160) dropping a major decision.
