Swim teams compete in Douglas

DOUGLAS — Pierce County Middle School’s and Pierce County High School’s swim teams competed here Friday and Saturday in meets.

PCMS swam Friday, December 6 finishing fifth in the eight-team field. PCHS participated a day later placing seventh in the 12-team event.

PCHS will swim Saturday, December 14 in the Ware County meet at the YMCA.

Pierce Middle

Lyla Brooker had the best individual finish placing fourth in the 100-yard freestyle event posting a season-best time of 1:15.74.

Brooker placed sixth in the 100-yard intermediate with a time of 1:26.46.

The girls’ 400-yard freestyle relay team of Malia White, Tenley White, Charli Paszko and Lakota Davis placed fourth with a time of 5:46.42.

Cooper Davis was fifth in the 100-yard intermediate with a time of 1:27.38. Hutson Streat logged a fifth-place showing in the 50-yard freestyle with a personal- best time of 31.34.

Pierce High

Sam Chesser captured the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:07.71. He finished second in the 200-yard freestyle with a season-best 2:05.01.

Teagan Dixon placed third in the 200-yard intermediate with a time of 2:44.44. He also placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.58.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Rowan McCrae, Sam Chesser, Walker Sergent and Thomas Lucas notched a fifthplace finished posting a time of 2:00.91.
