Library staff and patrons alike were pleased to note the presence of workers from Eichers Pro Vinyl beginning work on repairing the Pierce County Public Library’s roof, which has been damaged and leaking in places after successive hurricanes over the last three years. Eichers Pro Vinyl of Jesup was the bidder approved by the county commission to get the job done. A representative at the company’s home office did not have an eastimated time of completion immediately available, saying “That is a pretty large roof.” In a process of elimination, library staff hope the new roof will stop leaks in the facility’s server room, otherwise the problem lies with the AC unit.
