The Rev. Dr. Bill Young, pastor of Sweat Memorial Baptist Church in Waycross, was the guest speaker at last week’s Rotary Club meeting. Young, who previously served as pastor at Blackshear First Baptist, presented ‘Reflections on the Elections’. With the presidential election one month in our rear view, Young reflected on the election process and results from a spiritual perspective, noting his comments were not partisan, political or personal. He presented three takeaways to the club – God is good, America is good and with it all behind us, now we can breathe. Blackshear Rotary Club meets weekly at J. Leonard’s on Main.
