Pierce County set a schedule of its employee holidays and regular meetings for 2025 at its meeting last Tuesday night.
County government employees will receive 10 paid holidays for 2025.
Holidays for 2025 include New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1, Martin Luther King Day, Jan. 20, Good Friday, April 18, Memorial Day, May 26, Independence Day, July 4, Labor Day, September 1, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Nov. 27 and 28 and Christmas holidays, Dec. 24 and 25, 2024.
The county also approved its payroll schedule for the coming year.
Additionally, the board set its monthly meeting schedule for 2024. Commissioners will hold their monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month.
Regular meeting dates include January 7, February 4, March 4, April 1, May 6, June 3, July 1, August 5, September 2, October 7, November 4 and December 2.
Meetings are held at 6 p.m. in the upstairs meet- ing room at the Southeast Georgia Regional Agriculture Center (formerly the NFC Building) on College Avenue in Blackshear.
