Pope, 95, of Jacksonville , Fla., passed away Tuesday morning, November 26, 2024, at the Douglas Center for Community Hospice in Jacksonville after an extended illness.

She was born in Ware County to the late William Henry and Lola Ann De-Loach Logan. After graduating from high school, Mrs. Pope worked as a telephone operator at BellSouth and for most of her life she was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and had an exceptional artistic talent.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her former husband of more than 40 years, Alan G. Pope; one son, Phillip A. Pope; one grandson, Joshua James Angel; two sisters, Lois Anderson and Mattie Coulter; and four brothers, Albert Logan, Glenn Logan, Donald Logan and Wesley Logan.

Survivors include three daughters, Ginger Davis (husband Bruce) of Nahunta, Diane L. Pope and Kathy L. Angel, both of Jacksonville; three sons, Lawrence Pope, Alexander H. Pope (wife Mary) and Benjamin R. Pope, all of Jacksonville; daughter-in-law, Richelle Pope of the Phillipines; 11 grandchildren, Lee, Joanna, Jessica, Jennifer, Brandon, Matthew, Christopher, John, Anna Marie, Jolens and John; nine great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Thanscheidt of Folkston, Ruth Hill of Waycross and Dot Thomas of Hickory Bluff; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A graveside service was held Monday, December 2 at Wayfare Cemetery near Stockton, Ga.
