MSH has blood drive Dec. 13
Memorial Satilla Health stages its annual holiday blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, December 13 on the hospital’s main campus, 1900 Tebeau Street.
The donation center will be in the hospital’s former AIC Unit located on the first floor across from the chapel. Donors of all blood types are needed to keep a stable blood supply throughout the year.
The Blood Connection is currently facilitating Memorial Satilla’s drives. To schedule an appointment, visit thebloodconnection.org and use sponsor code 9391.
TBC is offering $40 in rewards to donors. Two lucky donors also will receive a $500 prize from the Hospital Auxiliary.
OATH changes operating hours The Okefenokee Alliance for the Homeless has changed its hours.
The new hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Lunch is served to homeless clients from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Daily hours 1-5 p.m. are by appointment only. The facility previously was open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday- Thursday.
All recovery meetings in partnership with The Trust will be held from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Persons should ring the front door bell for admittance. For more information or for appointments, call (912) 816 4399.
Advisory council seeks youth aides The Youth Advisory Council of the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential is seeking teens and young adults with an interest in serving as adolescent health advocates and youth leaders for 2025.
The youth will be ambassadors with excellent growth opportunities with the program, which stresses education, prevention and action for adolescent health.
The program seeks young Georgia residents ages 14-24 from every county in the state who have interests in the health of other young people and their overall well-being while serving as young leaders for social change in their communities. For information or questions, email [email protected].
Triangle Al-Anon meets Saturdays Al-Anon family groups designed to help those who are troubled by family members with addictions to alcohol or drugs are continuing to meet on Saturdays.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non-profit weight loss support group that meets on Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, 601 Hill St., Waycross.
