JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Anna Louise Logan Pope, 95 of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away Tuesday morning, November 26, 2024, at the Douglas Center for Community Hospice in Jacksonville after an extended illness.
Mrs. Pope was born in Ware County to the late William Henry and Lola Ann DeLoach Logan. After graduating from high school, she worked as a telephone operator at BellSouth and for most of her life she was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and had an exceptional artistic talent.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Pope was preceded in death by her former husband of over 40 years, Alan G. Pope; a son, Phillip A. Pope; a grandson, Joshua James Angel; two sisters, Lois Anderson and Mattie Coulter; and four brothers, Albert Logan, Glenn Logan, Donald Logan and Wesley Logan.
Survivors include three daughters, Ginger Davis (husband Bruce) of Nahunta, Diane L. Pope of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kathy L. Angel of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, Lawrence Pope of Jacksonville, Fla., Alexander H. Pope (wife Mary) of Jacksonville, Fla., and Benjamin R. Pope of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter-inlaw,
Richelle Pope of the Phillipines; 11 grandchildren, Lee, Joanna, Jessica, Jennifer, Brandon, Matthew, Christopher, John, Anna Marie, Jolens and John; nine greatgrandchildren; nine greatgreat grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Thanscheidt of Folkston, Ruth Hill of Waycross and Dot Thomas of Hickory Bluff; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A graveside service was held Monday afternoon, December 2, 2024 at Wayfare Cemetery near Stockton, Ga..
