Doris L. Milton ‘Hunkey’ Douglas

HOBOKEN — Doris L. Milton “Hunkey” Douglas, 81 of Hoboken, died Wednesday morning, November 27, 2024 at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after a brief illness.

Mrs. Douglas was born in Waycross to the late Walter Milton and Doris L. Driggers Morgan. She made South Georgia her home all her life.

Mrs. Douglas was a caregiver and loved crocheting, crossword puzzles, a good western, bringing joy to others lives, anything Elvis and above all spending time with her children.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Douglas was preceded in death by her loving dog, Sid.

She is survived by four children, Gina Rowell and husband Milton of Blackshear, Romie Dowling of

Douglas

Hoboken, Mona Crosby of Waycross and Julie Flowers of Waycross; 11 grandchildren, Casey Carver and husband Matthew, Sydney Rowell, Gabby Rowell, Mary Beth Dowling, Gracie Dowling, Hunter Dowling, Ryan Crosby, Dylan Crosby, Brittian Flowers and wife Jessica, Ethan Flowers and wife Ashley, and Brodie Flowers; 14 greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Hickox and husband Jimmy, and Nancy Ann Harris; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will hold a private burial at a later date in Spring Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, GA, 31501.
