Christmas Parade
“Songs of the Season” will be the theme of this year’s community Christmas parade.The parade will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9.
“This year’s theme highlights Christmas Carols,” said Bethany Strickland, Better Hometown Manager.
Christmas in the Park Christmas in the Park in Patterson will take place Friday, Dec. 13.
The event will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Patterson Park on Georgia Highway 32, and will include free food, crafts and music.
The event will include a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus on board the Patterson Fire Truck and Jolly the Elf will join.
4-H Care Bags for Kids 4-H is offering a community care project, Care Bags 4 Kids.
Community members may donate childrens items such as non perishable snacks, drinks, blankets, books, book bags, childrens toys, etc. to the 4-H office.
Items will be packaged together and delivered to children in need, specifically the children that have suffered devastation from Hurricane Helene.
Pierce Veterans toy drive Pierce County Veterans Inc. is hosting a toy drive for Magnolia House ends on Dec. 7. Any who would like to donate are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys to the Pierce County Veterans headquarters at 3775 U.S. Highway 84, Blackshear.
