Seven of the eight living members of the 1960 Region 1B champion Patterson Eagles football team (top photo) were present to be honored as the first-ever region champion for the Pierce County School System as well as the first squad to attain a No. 1 ranking in the Top 10 polls. Pictured are (l-r) Terry Smith, W.D. Strickland, Truman Dixon, R.C. James, Lucius Yeomans, Lindsay Thomas and Jack Aspinwall. Not present was Eddie Echols. Representing deceased members of the 1960 Region 1B champion Patterson Eagles football team (left photo)were Lee Boatright (son of Joe Pete Boatright), Chris Wright (son of Thomas L.
