HOBOKEN — One person was hurt when a car was hit by a semi early Tuesday morning just west of Hoboken on Hwy. 82.
Cameron Louise Taft, age and adress unknown, was driving a 2010 Nissan Sentra north on Palmetto Road at its intersection with Hwy. 82 and across from Burton Boulavard.
After coming to a stop at the stop sign, Taft crossed the eastbound lanes into the westbound lane of travel.
Miguel Angel Villarosales, age and address unknown, was driving westbound in a 2019 International LT625. His semi struck the right side of the Taft vehicle at approximately 8:48 a.m, according to the Georgia State Patrol report of Trooper Patrick Orr.
The 2010 Nissan Sentra traveled into a deep ditch and overturned onto the driver’s side. The vehicle struck the ditch embankment with the top portion of the vehicle as it slid along.
Taft was transported to Satilla Memorial Hospital for observation.
He was charged with Failure to Yield After Stopping at a Stop Sign.
