Brantley County Middle School’s Lady Herons finished out their pre-Thanksgiving schedule with a pair of road wins.
BCMS knocked off homestanding Pierce County Middle School 45-33 Wednesday, November 20 in a Southeast Georgia Middle School Athletic Conference matchup.
The Lady Herons used a dominting second half in Alma to beat Bacon County Middle School 43-16 Thursday, November 21.

BEARVILLE — Brantley Middle’s Chloe Johns and Grace Carver combined for 30 points leading the Lady Herons past Pierce Middle.
Johns (two treys) scored 16 of her game-high 17 points in the second half with 12 coming in the fourth quarter. Carver scored nine of her 13 points over the final two periods.
Brooklyn Thomas (three threes) led the Lady Bears with 13 points.
Brantley Middle held a slim 7-6 lead after one period. The Lady Herons stretched the lead to 18-10 by intermission outscoring PCMS 11-4 in the second stanza.
The Lady Bears sliced one point off the deficit during the third quarter outpointing Brantley Middle 10-9 to trail 27-20. The two teams picked up the scoring pace in the final period with the Lady Herons outscoring Pierce Middle 18-15.
Three other players scored for BCMS. Anniston Bowers netted seven points with Allie Gray and Julia Miller adding four points each.

ALMA — The Lady Herons outscored Bacon Middle 28-6 over the final two periods to pull away from a five-point halftime lead.
Nine players reached the scoring column for Brantley Middle. Johns led the way with a game-high 13 points with 11 coming in the second half. Bowers netted seven of her 11 points over the last two quarters.
Carver followed with seven points. Caelyn Dixon scored three points. Chloe Drury, Emersyn Payne, Gray and Miller netted two points apiece. Addiysn Grafford converted a free throw.
