Today’s early voting will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Board of Elections office, 408 Tebeau Street. Voting the day of the runoff will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the normal District 1 voting location in the Ware County Board of Education office, 1301 Bailey Street.

The Board of Education has designed the area for voting, said Carlos Nelson, Ware County Supervisor of Elections. Voters will need to enter in the “Centralized Registration” entrance.

The winner will be sworn in as the fifth member of the commission after the vote is certified. They will be seated for the commission’s final work session and bimonthly meeting of 2024 Monday-Tuesday, December 16-17.

The seat’s term expires December 31, 2025, along with those of District 2 representative Sheinita Bennett and District 3’s Katrena Felder.
