Chamber looking for director after Brand’s move to Satilla Advocacy

Paige Brand has a new position after resigning her post as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Waycross-Ware County Chamber of Commerce.

Brand has moved to Satilla Advocacy Services (SAS) where she has become Project Coordinator. She had been with the Chamber since 2019.

“We are excited to welcome Paige as the newest member of the Satilla Advocacy Services team,” SAS stated on its Facebook page. “As our Project Coordinator, Paige brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, along with a strong commitment to enhancing our community. Her dedication to building meaningful relationships, coupled with her drive and enthusiasm, will be invaluable in advancing the mission of SAS.”

Brand brought her vibrant energy and creativity to Waycross by facilitating community activities to promote growth and increased business opportunities. Among her achievements were First Fridays and Small Town, Big Sound concerts. She was instrumental in the success of Swamp Fest and the accompanying pageant, and Pumpkin Fest, among other events.

Brand made a statement on her departure.

“During my tenure, I have witnessed the incredible spirit and resilience of our members,” she said. “Your commitment to fostering a vibrant business community and supporting one another has been nothing short of inspiring. Together, we have accomplished so much — launching initiatives, hosting events, and advocating for our local economy.

“Each of these achievements has been a testament to our collective dedication and passion. I am profoundly thankful for the trust you placed in me and for the friendships I have formed along the way.”

Chamber Chairman Bryan Hartley praised Brand for her work and wished her well in her new role.

“Paige has been an inspiring leader for our Chamber and has worked tirelessly to support the interests of our members and the broader community,” Hartley wrote in an online press release. “Under her leadership, we have seen growth in membership and Chamber-sponsored events, as well as the strengthening of partnerships that have contributed to the economic and social fabric of Waycross and Ware County.”
