Over the course of time, the selection of fine china has been a statement piece, likened to King and Queen status, in a number of settings pristinely kept for more. The hand picked china pattern has been placed at the table in preparation for the appropriate meal.
Whether it’s a special dinner for two, a family gathering with a dress code, an everyday meal, or a meal set for royalty with all the bells and whistles, you can best believe there is a fine china set designed for every occasion. Maybe you are saying, “I’ve never experienced dining with fine china.”
All too often, we take for granted our individual experiences not understanding the brevity of our blessings. As for the human race, we should challenge ourselves to give and to do so exuberantly. What it all boils down to is listening to the still small voice.
In everything I showed you that by working hard in this way you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, which He Himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
(Acts 20: 35) If you are blessed with many sets, it’s prudent to trim the fat and share with someone else or an organization. How did I transition from gathering to giving? Easily. In a country where many households have two, three, and more, this is a time and place to aid our fellow man. While a fine china set may not aid someone who is without, it certainly can be presented as a gift.
For Thanksgiving you are likely to use the china pattern with the appearan ce of gratitude. Then for the wedding of all weddings you went back and forth, but in the end it was the one pristinely kept that was set apart.
A china pattern that hasn’t been used for quite some time is a conversation piece of its own, held out on it’s use for this very special moment. It was stored in the back so it wouldn’t be chipped, scratched, or broken. It’s a shoe-in to take home best in class; “For I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”
(Psalm 139: 14) This is the juncture where the believer should see things through the lens of God. In doing so, you are more inclined to see a person as they truly are. Often people will put on airs to convey something they are not. It is in the space of transparency where God is the Master at making something out of nothing. Juxtapose how man keeps china versus God keeping china. Oh, to be kept by God. His china far exceeds man’s view. “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”
(Isaiah 26:3). “Don’t be mistaken. He is sure to pull you up out of the muck and mire clay. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
(2 Corinthians 5: 17) In the process of time, we have discovered man keeps fine china in the credenza. God is a keeper and He keeps His fine china over the course of time. As you’ve gone through the fire, you’re sure to come out as pure gold. Many times He will hold us up from moving in purpose in a great way. The certainty is we are not quite ready. Who better to know when we are fir to be launched in the deep? The Creator of all things knows when we are to go, stop, be still, rest and so on. The key is, are we paying attention?
In doing so, God will seal you up and hide you for the opportune time or kairos moment is established. With the transformation of your new facade, He has made you as fine china or more specifically, special possession. There is also His glory hour where He encapsulates His glory through you.
Certainly this commission will come forth in a grandiose way. The question becomes what fine china set do you personify and is this your season to represent the Lord?
“Make no mistake. He will preserve you and keep you until the hour of His choosing. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Gods special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
