October Golden Acheivement Award winners

Special to the WJH Two Ware County Middle School staff members were chosen Ware County Schools Golden Achievement Award winners for October.

School secretary Kaleigh Fulford was the recipient of the classified honor while band teacher Zach Williams was the certified winner. The two were honored at a recent meeting of the Ware County School Board and introduced by Principal Dr. Shelli Tyre.

Dr. Tyre said Fulford was an “indispensable asset” to the school.

“Her tireless dedication, versatility and leadership go far beyond the scope of her official role, making her truly deserving of this recognition. Kaleigh is the very definition of ‘jack of all trades,” Tyre said. “From managing the front office with seamless efficiency to handling the needs of students, teachers, and parents, she ensures the school runs smoothly on a daily basis. Her organizational skills are unparalleled, enabling her to juggle countless tasks while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment “Beyond her administrative duties, Kaleigh is the heart of Ware County Middle School. Kaleigh’s dedication to the school is not just in what she does, but how she does it. She approaches every task with a positive attitude, an open heart, and a clear commitment to the success of the school.”

Dr. Tyre said Williams “goes far beyond the typical responsibilities of a band teacher” in her introduction.

“He demonstrates a deep commitment to his students, their families, our school, and our community. One of Mr. Williams most remarkable achievements is growing the band program to well over 150 students, a testament to his passion, dedication, and the inspiring environment he has cultivated,” she said. “Mr. Williams has a rare gift for building positive relationships with his students, motivating them to succeed both inside and outside of the band classroom.

“He takes a genuine interest in each student's personal and academic growth, encouraging them to push their boundaries and discover their full potential. Mr. Williams goes above and beyond his duties every single day. His passion for teaching, his unique gift for connecting with and motivating students, and his tireless efforts make him an excellent candidate for the Golden Achievement Award.”
