The reward for information leading to and arrest in the murder of Kimberly Guess has now been increased to $10,000.
Guess, 34, was gunned down in her driveway Thursday morning, October 17.
Rickey Thornton announced this week that the reward amount has increased.
“Tips can be completely anonymous,” he said. “We are hopeful this will encourage someone to come forward, especially if they are afraid of the coward who did this.”
Thornton is the brother of Kim Guess. Guess, 34, was shot “multiple times” as she walked out to her car in the 800 block of Ware Street that fateful morning.
Thornton said his family is working with local law enforcement to help find Guess’ killer.
Tips can be called in to the Blackshear Police Department at (912) 449-7011 or to 911 or to Thornton at (912) 286-7989.
The family is keeping Guess’ case in the spotlight. A candlelight vigil was held at Guess’ former home on Ware Street over the weekend.
