Tax bills will be arriving in mailboxes all over the county this week.
Tax commissioner Terresa Davis and Tax Commissioner-Elect Nicole Scurry says they expect bills will be in the mail this week.
Davis will oversee her last mailing of the bills and will retire in December. Scurry will take over as tax commissioner January 1.
Tailored Business Systems (TBS), based in Statesboro, handles printing and mailing of the approximately 12,000 bills for the county, cities and school board.
The county also mails notices for the school board and the cities of Blackshear and Patterson.
All property tax bills will be due by the close of business January 31, 2025.
Tax bills will be largely the same as they were last year. The school board millage will be 14 mills.
